Pointed Pen Calligraphy Continued with Emily J. Snyder
This intermediate level class is for students who are comfortable using a pointed pen calligraphy nib and have a basic sense of how to form letters and words. We will practice traditional pointed pen alphabets to warm up and then will explore different flourishing techniques. Students will be encouraged to explore their own personal pointed pen calligraphy style.
-Two hours of instruction with Emily J. Snyder
-One oblique pen holder, two nibs, and one jar of black ink
Emily J. Snyder is an artist living and working in Los Angeles. Emily graduated from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston/Tufts University in 2007 with a BFA in drawing, painting and jewelry design. She found her first career calling, as a calligrapher, in New York City while managing the stationery and design house Mr. Boddington's Studio. Her current portfolio includes fine art, illustrations, calligraphy, surface design, textile design and custom beadwork.
Her clients include Barneys New York, Kelly Wearstler, Philip Glass, Molly Sims, Gavin Rossdale, The Kor Group, Yifat Oren & Associates, Rahua, Phoebe Cates, Donovan Leitch Jr., Icebreaker Merino, Clive Wilkenson, Phylia de M., Luanne Rice and Mr. Boddington's Studio.
Please arrive 15 mins prior to the event and check in with us at the cash wrap at the back of the store. Street parking only.
If you are no longer able to attend, we are able to provide store credit only if the cancellation is made more than one week prior to the workshop date.
